We have an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Lending Officer to join our team of banking professionals. We’re seeking an experienced lender with strong customer relations, communication and leadership skills. 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

      Manage an assigned loan portfolio including overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk

      Business development through calling efforts in the community

      Active in various community organizations and activities

      Follow all bank policies and procedures and compliance rules and regulations

Experience Required:

       Minimum 3 years lending experience needed

       Bachelor’s degree preferred 

       Good credit analysis and accounting skills

       Proven ability to achieve goals

       Professional and effective interpersonal skills 

This individual works with all aspects and teams within the company and should have excellent computer, customer service, marketing and multi-tasking skills. Will need to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.

Controller Needed

 

First Farmers State Bank, Minier

This individual would develop and maintain accounting information on income, expenses, assets, liabilities and capital as a basis for management planning and decision making, and for fulfilling financial and regulatory reporting requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Be responsible for general ledger reconciliation, analysis of financial accounts, fixed asset accounting and preparation of journal entries. 

·         Be a member of Asset/Liability committee and manage ALM software.

·         Manage the bank’s audit function and manage relationships with outside auditors.

·         Manage the bank’s investment accounting activities, including proper classification, risk weighting, and pledging.

·         Manages the bank’s relationship with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.

·         Assist with Trust Department accounting functions.

·         Work closely with Chief Financial Officer and ideally assume the role of CFO in five years or less.

This position requires a minimum of five years bank accounting experience or equivalent.

Job Description:

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for managing and growing profitable commercial lending relationships while developing sound relationships. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and convert new loan and deposit prospects.

• Cross sell other products of the Bank.

• Retain and service existing customer base.

• Analyze the financial condition, operating performance, and repayment ability of borrowers utilizing financial statements, collateral documentation, borrower interviews, and industry and economic data.

• Analyze the financial information of the borrower and guarantor for each loan relationship selected for review.

• Prepare loan presentation documents to recommend actions to the appropriate credit authorities in the department, credit administration, or the Bank’s Board of Directors

• Present loan proposals to the Executive Vice President and Head Lender.

• Proactively manage a portfolio of borrowers to ensure continuing satisfactory risk profiles, including annual reviews, covenant monitoring, and borrowing plan management.

• Ensure the Bank’s adherence to regulatory policies; minimize variance from the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.

• Review the completeness and accuracy of loan documentation.

• Identify any loans that are not in compliance with the requirements of the Bank’s Credit Risk Policy, to include appropriate approval levels.

• Determine the appropriateness of the assigned loan grade based on the criteria specified in the Bank’s loan policy.

• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations including specifically compliance.

• Other duties may be assigned to increase the organization’s operating performance.

 

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Job Description:

Applying his/her experience in banking, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, execution and maintenance of marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives and support profitable business growth.

Work closely with internal business partners and external service providers to achieve business objectives, maintain corporate image, and protect the company’s brand through strategic marketing initiatives. Evaluate market conditions, competitor data, client feedback, etc., to develop and assess annual marketing strategies and to implement plan changes necessary. Work directly with members of executive management, department heads, and various lines of business associates to assess and successfully execute the marketing needs of the total organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish marketing goals to ensure share of market, profitability of products/services, and deepening of existing client relationships.

• Develop and execute all marketing plans and programs, both short and long term, to ensure profitable business growth.

• Coordinate efforts in all areas of marketing, including research/development; brand management; creative development; direct marketing; advertising; public relations; product launch; corporate communications; website; digital marketing; social media; event planning; and project and program management.

• Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic information to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize competitor impact.

• Develop new market launch, growth, and expansion strategies.

• Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers to facilitate marketing campaigns and overall branding.

• Manage any required third-party marketing service providers, including designers, writers and account reps, to oversee all product and brand campaign development - including copy, design, layout, and production of print and digital tactics.

• Negotiate pricing and proposals with all third-party vendors as needed.

• Evaluate and adjust marketing strategies in a timely manner to meet the changing needs of the market.

• Prepare marketing reports, including Monthly Marketing Report, project and campaign measurement, and general updates for senior and executive management.

• Work with internal executives and customers to provide marketing support, direction, input and assistance.

• Oversee communication activities, including internal and external communications, public relations efforts and relationship management with service providers.

• May make occasional presentations to officer group, board of directors and/or others as needed/directed.

• Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and service providers.

• Attend key conferences and seminars to provide information and innovation back to the bank in the way of enhanced marketing programs.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Annual business planning; includes close collaboration with all lines of business to assess and plan for support of annual sales goals.

• Assist to develop, direct, lead and manage community events.

• 5+ yrs. experience in all aspects of developing and implementing targeted marketing strategies, including print, digital and social media strategies.

• Relevant market and industry knowledge.

• Experience with relevant software applications and social media platforms.
