Compliance Officer
Mascoutah, IL location
Citizens Community Bank, Mascoutah, IL, is seeking to fill the position of Compliance Officer. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering the bank’s Compliance Management Program utilizing the Compliance Risk Assessment. This position will manage compliance staff and has the authority and independence to cross departmental lines, access all areas of bank operations, and effect corrective action. The Compliance Officer participates in various committees and advises the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Senior Management, and bank personnel of emerging compliance issues and consults and guides the bank in the establishment of controls to manage compliance risks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay current of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to the banking industry and the bank’s products and services
- Liaison for Federal & State compliance exams as well as external compliance audits
- Monitor the compliance schedules to ensure the process remains on-track
- Review new products with a focus on determining compliance requirements and then building into written policies and audit schedules, as appropriate
Education and Experience
- Accredited Business related degree
- Five years of banking experience or completion of an approved educational program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred prior compliance experience
- Preferred experience with interpreting regulations
