On Monday, November 19, 2007, CBAI will be hosting a breakfast with State Senator Larry Bomke (R-50), State Representative Raymond Poe (R-99) and State Representative Rich Brauer (R-100) beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Sangamo Club, 227 East Adams Street in Springfield, Illinois.

Senator Bomke and State Representatives Poe and Brauer have all been strong advocates of community banking in the Illinois General Assembly. Currently Senator Bomke and Rep. Brauer are members of the Committee on Financial Institutions in their appropriate chambers, and remain very familiar with the issues and challenges community banks must overcome. Rep. Poe has been supporting community financial institutions in the Illinois House since he was first elected in 1995. We look forward to the opportunity to express our gratitude for their years of support of our issues. This breakfast will offer CBAI members an opportunity to discuss state issues impacting your financial institutions and your communities in a casual and open setting with your state legislator.

This breakfast is not a fundraiser. It is an opportunity, however, to demonstrate to the "Springfield delegation" the strength of community banking in this area, to open up an informal dialogue on current banking issues, and to develop CBAI's overall grassroots strength. Please, when you reply to this email also include the names of all bank employees who are expected to attend. The more the merrier! If you have any questions, please contact Bryan Soady at 800/736-2224 or bryans@cbai.com. See you there!
