| Tribute to Community Banking The Tribute was established in 1982 and a permanent display at CBAI headquarters was erected. The Tribute bears the following inscription: "In lasting recognition of the Illinois banks and bankers which have tirelessly championed the perpetuation of community banking through the Community Bankers Association of Illinois; and With respect for those friends are advocates of community banking who have enthusiastically exhibited support for and allegiance to, community banking by virtue of their participation in the Association; and In tribute to the essential contributions of community banking to economic vitality, small business formation, job creation, and the preservation of competitive, consumer-responsive financial services." How Do You Become Involved? If you or your organization is a CBAI member, you may participate in the Tribute to Community Banking.
