About the Scholarship
In the original Foundation Scholarship Program, the children of bank employees and directors are precluded from participation. The Foundation has augmented that Program with the "CBAI Scholarship for the Children of Community Banking." And it's only available to the children of CBAI member banks' employees and directors, plus part-time employees of eligible banks.

Each year, the Foundation awards a $4,000 scholarship to a child or grandchild of a contributing member bank's employee, director, or officer -or- a part-time bank employee who is entering his or her freshman year of undergraduate school. The scholarship is $1,000 per year for up to four years of higher education if the child remains eligible via grades and full-time student status.

Eligible Banks: CBAI member banks contributing or pledging a cumulative minimum of $1,000 to the Foundation.

Eligible Students: The children and grandchildren of eligible CBAI-member bank employees, directors, and officers and part-time bank employees who are entering their freshman year of undergraduate school or post-high school trade school as full-time students.

Submission: A bank can submit one student's name for each $1,000 contributed or pledged to the Foundation. (e.g., $1,000 = 1 name, $2,000 = two names, etc.) Contributions are cumulative and applied from the establishment of the Foundation.

Drawing: Students' names are put into a drawing to take place during the CBAI Annual Convention. Representatives of the sponsoring bank need not be present to win. Deadline for submission is August 15 each year
